Corporate Litigation

We work with both in-house corporate law departments and clients that do not have staff attorneys. Our practice is both domestic and international, and includes representation of public companies, privately held entities, family-owned businesses, and entrepreneurs. Depending on a client's needs, we act as general counsel or provide special counselling on particular issues from routine matters to highly sophisticated transactions. Our other practices, including litigation, intellectual property, information technology and taxation, add a unique dimension to our ability to address our clients' needs and goals.

The firm serves as corporate counsel to entrepreneurs as well as large established businesses, guiding them through their structuring, financing, expansion and succession. A closely held business often comes to a crossroads either due to the ageing or illness of the founders with no suitable successor or because of an offer to purchase the business. Over the years, we have assisted many businesses with the process of preparing for sale, negotiating the transaction and closing the deal. Larger companies also are often presented with the opportunity to sell their businesses, or a division, or to merge with another entity; we have advised such companies as well.
